Our mission is to provide a safe, home-like environment where homeless cats can be connected with loving families within the community. We strive to create an environment that allows us (and prospective owners) to see how a cat might behave in a new home, noting personality aspects such as activity level, attitude around strangers, and comfort level with children and other cats. We strive to find appropriate, permanent homes for our residents, and we believe strongly that finding “the purrfect fit” is an integral part of responsible rehoming.
Kitty Cottage Adoption Center, Inc. is a no-kill shelter for rescued and surrendered cats and kittens in the Greater Philadelphia area. Our mission is to facilitate adoptions by housing the cats in a cage-free, home-like shelter where adopters and cats can interact and thus be matched up more effectively than if the cats were restricted to cages.
If you are on the fence about starting the incredibly rewarding life of fostering, just know that fostering saves lives! Yes, we have the cottage for cats to live in, but it is not always the best place for those cats or kittens who are either too young to be in the shelter or to cats who have medical issues or may be extremely stressed in a room with other cats.

Kitty Cottage would love your help! Most of our volunteer opportunities take place at the cottage, but we can also use event representatives and occasionally do have tasks which can be done at home.
